– General Information for Hire of Complex Facilities

  • Arrangements
    All enquiries for hire of Complex facilities should be made to the Complex Manager.

  • Smart planning
    To assist you in planning for large functions, examples and conditions have been set for you to work through them. Ensure you have a checklist and take the following listed below into consideration.

  • Complex Manager
    In the first instance contact the Complex Manager on his mobile, then Complex number or at his Home.

  • Convenient Hours
    To meet the Manager on site he is present Monday to Friday between 10.00am and 1.30 pm.
    Saturday and Sunday – negotiable with the Manager.

  • Keys
    A key is not normally provided to hirers but is available with arrangement through the Complex Manager or other authorised agent of the Association.

  • Opening Hours
    On weekends, the Complex Manager will provide access no earlier than 6.30am depending on the type of function unless acceptable alternative can be arranged.

  • Cleaning Costs
    Main Hall - No cleaning costs charged provided floors swept, chairs stacked and returned to place of storage. Foyer, Dining Hall, Kitchen, Toilets – $250.00 (incl GST).
    Foyer - Vacuumed
    Dining Hall, Kitchen, Toilets – Floors mopped, polished & toilets cleaned.

  • Closing Hours (Closure of Complex)
    All cleaning should be completed by 12.00pm (midnight). Doors finally locked and vacated by 1.00am, otherwise additional charges will apply. You may undertake to complete the cleaning the next day, subject to arrangement with the Complex Manager and with the proviso that it would not conflict with any other function being held there.

  • Air Conditioning, Heating & Lighting
    Ensure the Complex Manager understands your needs for air conditioning and lighting

  • Car Parks
    Associations Car Park - The Association provide approximately 150 car parks on Saturday evening and all of Sunday. Ensure your guests are not parked in Mahadeos (Spice shop) car park. The five signs on the back car parks are prominently displayed that it’s a 15 minute customer park. The Association does not accept responsibility for cars being towed away. There are off street car parks, however, neighboring business have contracted tow away companies to remove cars from their yards.

  • Car Park
    No Alcohol or Prohibitive Material is to be consumed or smoked in the front car park and area surrounding the Temple.

  • General Rubbish
    Own arrangements to be made to have a bin placed at the back of the Hall designated by the Complex Manager for disposal of your rubbish. The placement of the bin should not hinder public access or traffic in the car park.

  • Rubbish Bags
    Rubbish bags should be securely tied up and placed in the bin. They should not be left in a condition that will leave the car park or back area untidy.

  • Security Guard
    The host will be required to hire a security guard for events such as 21stBbirthday Party and other functions as deemed necessary by the Association, which would allow for a controlled environment.

  • Lobby Area
    * Mahatma Gandhi’s Mural - This mural should not be tampered or removed from its present position under any circumstance without consulting the Complex Manager.
    * Children & Safety – Parents and hosts should ensure children do not play in the foyer area in particular near the reception desk. Any costs as a result of damage in this area will be passed onto the hosts.

  •  Utility Charges
    Relates to use of Power, Gas, Water, etc and are Separate to hire charges, as shown under
    Hire Charges.
